The 32nd Risk and Insurance Management Society Inc. (RIMS) April 17 to 22, is the next opportunity for the non-profit organisation to promote its stated aim of advancing the practice of risk management.

Eight states last year granted agents and brokers approval to participate in the programme. This year the number has doubled to 16 states. Another ten states have approval pending.

The 180 educational sessions, industry sessions and workshops will examine risk management concerns in the areas of finance, legislation and regulation, loss control and workers' compensation; and employee benefits issues.
