Bermuda holding company Northern Offshore Ltd. has named Gary Casswell as its president and CEO.

Mr. Casswell was formery vice-president of the eastern hemisphere operations for Houston-based Pride International Inc.

He replaces Jim LaChance, who resigned his position as interim president and CEO. Mr. LeChance will continue to be chairman of the offshore rig operator.
