Gregory Hendrick has joined the company as assistant vice president, underwriter (US) and Mr. Anthony Sullivan was promoted to assistant vice president, information technology, the company said.

Mr. Hendrick will be involved in structuring and pricing reinsurance programmes as well as the development and day to day application of new and existing models, Mid Ocean said.

After obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from St. John's University, Mr. Hendrick was employed by AIG Risk Management as an actuarial analyst.

Prior to joining Mid Ocean he was an assistant vice president at Winterthur Re in New York.

Mr. Sullivan has been with Mid Ocean since 1993 and has wide range of experience in the data processing field.

He has been involved in general management, project management and systems planning, design and consultancy.

Mr. Sullivan was previously with Ardon Reinsurance Systems as a consultant and prior to this appointment was employed by Chevron Corp. as their data processing manager.

*** Pearman, Watlington & Co. (PW's) on Friday recognised its employee of the quarter.

The award, for the quarter ended August 31, went to Mr. Llewellyn Tacklyn , a 33-year veteran of the company who currently serves as supervisor of PWs central warehouse, PW's said.

Mr. Tacklyn, a member of the warehouse staff, has received numerous company citations and excellence awards for his customer service dedication.

"Tack'' has worked as warehouseman, helper, drive as well as supervisor, the company said.

The committee cited Mr. Tacklyn's excellent rapport, his leadership by example, extra effort, knowledge of company products and procedures, willingness to share that knowledge and his "infectious'' smile as reasons for his selection as employee of the quarter, PW's said.
