Butterfield Bank to hold EEZ banking seminar
Residents and business owners from the Economic Empowerment Zone (EEZ) in North Hamilton will be able to learn more about their financial options with a seminar on special banking programmes held by Butterfield Bank today.
Since 2007, the bank has committed $15 million worth of financing for commercial and residential projects to the EEZ.
Taiwo Ogunyemi, Butterfield's vice-president of corporate banking, said: "Butterfield is pleased to once again be partnering with the Bermuda Small Business Development Corporation and the Economic Empowerment Zones Agency to support the commercial and residential revitalisation of North Hamilton."
The special seminar, run by the bank's banking team, will provide information about merchant card and business banking services, along with details of programmes for residents, businesses and development projects in the EEZ (including preferential borrowing rates and terms for qualifying residents).
The seminar will be held at the New Testament Church of God (Heritage Worship Centre, 59 Dundonald Street, Hamilton) between 6 p.m. and 7.30 p.m.
To attend RSVP to Stephen Todd, Butterfield bank's vice-president and retail business development manager at Stephen.Todd@bm.butterfieldgroup.com or 298 4710. Registration is free and refreshments will be served at the event.
