Butterfield falls 1.3%

Shares of Butterfield Bank fell 1.3 percent yesterday to extend its decline this year.The Royal Gazette/ Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) Index also hit a new low for the year and is now trading at levels not seen since December 2003.Butterfield fell 10 cents to close yesterday on $7.40, as 4,598 shares traded.

Butterfield fell 10 cents to close yesterday on $7.40, as 4,598 shares traded.
The only other issue to trade was Belco Holdings Ltd., which remained unchanged on $16.05 afetr 500 shares changed hands.
The BSX Index fell 17.47 points, or 0.62 percent, to close on 2,804.63. Volume was 5,098 and turnover was $42,035.
The BSX Insurance Index of the Island's leading international insurance companies fell 2.14 percent to 710.82.
