Bermuda-based reinsurer CastlePoint Holdings, Ltd. announced yesterday that its shareholders approved the merger with a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tower Group, Inc.

CastlePoint shareholders cast 27,682,906 votes in favour of the merger, which represents 90.8 percent of the total votes cast.
