Airlines announced it would be flying bigger planes to Bermuda to meet increased demand.
This would increase capacity by 40 percent, said local general manager Mrs.
Judy Roberts.
Wide-bodied Airbuses, carrying 257 passengers, would replace the 149-passenger Boeing 727s for the summer season.
And four local part-time workers would be taken on.
But passengers would no longer get meals on the flight, Mrs. Roberts said.
Continental flies daily from Newark, taking about two hours.
