Cruise ships sail in for a new season

The Horizon will arrive in Hamilton early this morning and stay overnight, before heading for St. George's tomorrow for the day.
The liner is stopping in Bermuda after a season of cruises around the Caribbean. It will head back to New York towards the end of this week, to begin its regular trips to the Island from next week.
And its sister ship the Zenith will drop anchor in the city port tomorrow morning, but leave the same day, again on her return voyage to New York after a stint in the islands to the south.
Last Saturday, the Seven Seas Mariner cruise ship came into Hamilton for a weekend stay while on her travels from Nassau to Charleston in South Carolina.
Carrying 635 passengers, she set sail again on Monday afternoon.
Also, paying a visit this week will be Cunard liner the Seabourn Sun , which also arrives today and leaves tomorrow, before heading back off to New York.
The Seabourn Pride , its sister cruise ship, will also arrive tomorrow, but this time docking at Ordnance Island in St. George's. It will only stay for a few hours before heading out later the same day and making off towards the Azores.
But also visiting the Island this week are the regular working ships.
Somers Isle came in yesterday with 109 containers, ten of them refrigerated.
It will leave Hamilton today.
The Bermuda Islander arrives tomorrow, carrying 125 containers, 22 of them refrigerated, as well as two 40-ft containers and one 45-ft container.
The cable ship Maersk was due to arrive sometime yesterday in St. George's after carrying out cable repairs in Venezuela. She will stay for an indefinite stint on the Island.
The LPG main gas tanker came in on Monday and discharged propane gas for Shell at Ferry Reach. It left yesterday.
And the Oleander arrived from Port Elizabeth in New Jersey on Sunday, carrying 163 dry containers and 37 reefers.
Also on board was four cars, two boats, two maffis and 14 flatbed trucks.
It sailed out of Bermuda early yesterday.
