Davis to head C&W in Bermuda

Craig Davis

Cable & Wireless Communications Bermuda has announced the appointment of Craig Davis as country manager.

Mr. Davis will lead the local business, which is newly renamed following the demerger of its parent company, Cable & Wireless Communications plc. (CWC), from its sister company Cable & Wireless Worldwide plc.

Born in Bermuda, Mr. Davis has worked for Cable & Wireless Bermuda since 1991 when he started as an assistant technician in the radio systems department. During his career he has served in many roles, spending most of his time in the company's technical operations group.

More recently he has managed several departments including network management, business development and operations. Mr Davis' experience of both technical and commercial aspects of the business, coupled with his in-depth understanding of the Island's market made him an ideal candidate for the role, the company stated.

Eddie Saints, CEO of CWC's Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Bermuda region, said: "I'm delighted to have appointed Craig to the position of country manager.

"He has worked his way through the company in various capacities and will bring a wealth of knowledge to the position.

"I am confident that his energy and enthusiasm will be a catalyst for positioning the company for further success in the future. Congratulations, Craig."

Mr. Davis said: "It's a huge honour to be appointed to lead the Cable & Wireless Bermuda team. With de-regulation on the horizon and an ever changing market place, I am looking forward to the challenges ahead.

"One thing that will not change though is our commitment to customer service. As a group, our focus will be to ensure that Cable & Wireless Bermuda is the company you want to do business with."
