Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd. has announced the appointment of Bermudian Nicholas Campbell as senior vice-president and head of specialty treaty reinsurance.

Formerly known as the casualty treaty operation, the specialty treaty unit will continue to offer workers' compensation catastrophe, clash, political risk, and aviation treaty reinsurance and will expand into additional specialty reinsurance lines.

Mr. Campbell brings 15 years of experience in the industry with a focus on credit reinsurance and structured finance.

Mr. Campbell started his career at Towers Perrin in the UK, returning to Bermuda in 1999, where he held several actuarial and consulting positions, including vice-president and actuary with Centre Solutions and senior vice-president and chief actuary with Ace Capital Re (now Assured Guaranty), before joining Endurance in November 2009.
