Hentsch merges with Fairfield

GENEVA (Bloomberg) — Banque Benedict Hentsch, a Geneva-based private bank, has merged with New York hedge fund manager Fairfield Greenwich Group to combine wealth and alternative asset client advice.

Together the two money managers will supervise $18 billion in client assets with more than 150 staff in New York, Greenwich, Miami, Bermuda, Rio de Janeiro, London, Madrid, Geneva and Lugano, they said today in an e-mailed statement. The Swiss bank will change its name to Banque Benedict Hentsch Fairfield Partners SA.
