Hiscox has appointed Krystalle Tobin as chief financial officer for its Bermuda business.

Having been with Hiscox Bermuda since 2006 as financial controller and treasurer, Ms Tobin brings extensive experience of the insurance sector.

Formerly a vice-president, controller at Inter-Ocean Reinsurance Co Ltd. for five years, she also worked as a vice-president at Becher and Carlson Management (now Beecher Carlson) from 1998 to 2000.

Reporting to Hiscox Bermuda's CEO, Charles Dupplin, and based in the company's office in Hamilton, she is a chartered accountant and chartered financial analyst.

Mr. Dupplin said: "I am delighted to be announcing Krystalle Tobin's well deserved promotion to CFO at Hiscox Bermuda. She has already proven herself in her role as financial controller and treasurer and her considerable expertise in the insurance and reinsurance arena will be a great asset to us as she takes on the responsibilities of CFO."
