Ironshore has announced the appointment of Michael Mitrovic as director of global claims.

Mr. Mitrovic will be responsible for overseeing a fully-integrated claims management infrastructure to effectively serve clients throughout Ironshore's multi-specialty, global platform. He will report to Shaun Kelly, President of Ironshore. Mitrovic will continue in his role as president of IronPro Claims, the professional and management liability division.

Ironshore's appointment of Mr. Mitrovic reflects continued expansion within the company's various specialty lines of business, and the management's approach to build a leadership team for meeting client demand worldwide.

"Claims management is a vital component of an integrated, client-focused service organization that is the Ironshore hallmark."

Under Mr. Mitrovic's leadership, Ironshore claims will be embedded within each of the specialty practice underwriting disciplines, such as IronHealth, IronPro, specialty casualty, property, environmental, construction and energy among others. Claims department managers will also have a reporting relationship with the leadership of the respective lines of business to keep abreast of industry trends, marketplace developments and claims mitigation practices.
