Kafu hair salon opens new skin care clinic
Kafu hair salon has formed a "synergistic" new relationship with Dr. Gerhard Boonstra to offer a range of skin spa options from its Parliament Street location.
Kafu owner Glen Wilks said the 'Aesthetic Skin Klinic' at Kafu will offer laser hair removal, microdermabrasion, Botox injections, Restylane injections and chemical peels as well as other treatments.
All procedures will be performed by trained nurses or aestheticians who are fully certified to provide the services, which will be overseen by Dr. Boonstra of Island Health Services. As such, three nurses and an aesthetician have been added to the salon's staff to accommodate clients.
The new services have been gradually introduced at Kafu over the last few months and Mr. Wilks said there has already been an enthusiastic response from clients who now have a one-step shop for their beauty needs.
Mr. Wilks said the skin spa offers the best machinery available on the market for laser hair removal with its GentleMax system. This laser system can also be used for skin tightening treatments and skin resurfacing treatments to treat wrinkles, sun damage and pigmented lesions or redness.
"This is considered the best system on the market," Mr. Wilks said. "It's totally safe, quick and efficient and effective on all skin types."
The new services are an extension of the beauty offerings at Kafu, Mr. Wilks said: "We can offer the compatible services which clients are looking for within the one location."
To officially launch the new clinic, Kafu will be hosting a grand opening on Friday with cocktails from 6.30 p.m. and a ribbon cutting at 7.30 p.m.
Mr. Wilks said many invites have already gone out but those interested can be added to the guest list by calling 295-8529 or emailing info@askbermuda.bm.
