KPMG launches new business line
Accountancy firm KPMG has launched KPMG Enterprise, a new business line dedicated exclusively to Bermuda businesses outside the insurance, banking and investment fund sectors.
Partner Neil Patterson said that in recent years the firm had seen a steady increase in demand for specialised services in this area.
"In addition to the 'traditional' Bermuda-based businesses such as hotels, retailers, wholesale distributors, law firms and other service providers, KPMG Enterprise will also focus on the needs of international technology, shipping and aircraft leasing companies, which are also based in Bermuda," he said.
"Indeed it is a misnomer for us to continue to refer to this business line as 'local' since we have a much broader range of clients."
KPMG Enterprise director Steve Woodward said the division aimed to be a trusted business adviser to its clients.
"We offer a full-range of value added services to our clients and the depth of our industry knowledge coupled with dedicated resources enable us to provide responsive and effective audit and advisory services which can help save clients both time and money," Mr. Woodward said.
KPMG Enterprise would devote a team to advise a business, he added.
To coincide with the launch, KPMG has planned a series of leadership seminars and educational sessions on topics such as Family Business Succession and Sustainability, as well as the more traditional areas of financial reporting and accounting.
