Marriott's set to host incentive travel group
bringing incentive travel business to Bermuda.
The third annual International Incentive Management Conference will be held next weekend.
Marriott's spokeswoman Amy Moore said the conference was an educational programme designed to help the hotel build better personal relationships with its incentive travel customers.
Incentive travel is used by many companies in the US to reward top performers.
Firms block book resorts for winners of awards and it is seen as an increasingly important segment of the tourism industry.
More than 100 professionals, including Marriott's senior executives, will be attending the conference which will run from September 6 to 9.
And the resort's general manager, Mark Conklin, said the hotel was honoured to be chosen to host the event.
"Bermuda is ranked in industry surveys as one of the most popular incentive travel destinations in the world,'' Mr. Conklin said.
