New ambulances arrive at docks

Hospital spokesperson Kendaree Burgess-Fairn was not available for comment yesterday.

Meanwhile a Meyer Agencies spokesman explained that the ship, travelling from Florida, was carrying 85 containers.

The contents of these included six refrigerated containers, the two ambulances, a pleasure boat, a tractor and 30 bundles of lumber, piping and steel.

The ship departed yesterday bound for its annual dry dock stay in Charleston, South Carolina.

The container ship Bermuda Islander is due to arrive on Sunday from New Jersey.

A spokesman from John S. Darrell & Co. Ltd. reported that the car carrier Green Point is scheduled to arrive in Hamilton at 8 a.m. on Christmas Eve.

And the Oleander is due to arrive in Hamilton at 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Aboard the ship will be 142 dry containers, 41 refrigerated containers, seven 45-feet road trailers, a 30-feet maafi trailer, 28 cars and various building supplies.
