insurance facility to do business "in select, targeted lines from a variety of sources, including risk retention and other purchasing groups and ventures''.

ZRCH, a New York firm 58 percent owned by Bermuda-based Zurich Centre Investments Ltd., said that the facility will operate in all US states through a wholly-owned insurance subsidiary of Zurich Reinsurance Centre (ZRC) Inc., to be named ZC Insurance Company.

Mr. Michael E. Maloney, who will be the ZC chief operating officer, will lead the company's efforts in this product area.

Mr. Maloney said: "Based on indications from our producers, clients and prospective clients, we see an excellent opportunity to provide customised programmes consistent with ZRC's overall franchise as a property/casualty reinsurer.'' ZRCH has announced new heads of its underwriting units. They include Mr. Glen E. Curley, vice president, special casualty; Mr. Kirby V. Montgomery, senior vice president, standard casualty and, Mr. Frederick J. Pagnani Jr., vice president, professional liability.
