Real estate focus for BSBDC conference
The ins and outs of Bermuda's real estate market in the Economic Empowerment Zone (EEZ) will be the focus for a conference held by the Bermuda Small Business Development Corporation (BSBDC) today.
The 'Real Estate and Property Matters in the EEZ' meeting, which will be held at the New Testament Church of God between 5.30 p.m and 8.30 p.m., will cover everything from the need for a real estate agent, and buying and selling in the EEZ, to financing and pre-approval, making an offer and the value of a survey.
Other topics up for debate include building equity through land/buildings and determining real versus market value, as well as the development opportunities on offer in the EEZ.
Guest speakers will feature Paula Marshall from the Bank of Bermuda HSBC, Roy Yammine and Jennifer Fray, from Butterfield Bank, Philip Smith, of WJ Seymour Real Estate Ltd., Irma Burrows, from Progressive Realty Ltd., and Dianne Carlson and Susan Thompson, from Coldwell Banker Bermuda Realty.
