Role: Accountant, Lancashire Insurance Co. Ltd.

What is your job? To account for the daily incoming and outgoing cash and ensure all vendors are paid, in addition to ad hoc finance work. I also spend my time on financial reporting.

What is your favourite part of the job? Smiling and feeling accomplished at the end of the day in all that I do.

What is the least favourite part of the job? There are not enough hours in the day to get all the work done but at least I am always occupied.

What is your most interesting experience at work? Learning all the ins and outs of the insurance world; I was amazed at what I have learned just from observing what is being paid out and what comes in and how it all works! Learning all the insurance lingo makes me understand the company and be a better employee at doing my job as an accountant in the insurance business.

What would you be doing otherwise? A stay-at-home mom and courtesy cook; my other passion!
