What is your job? I obtain and build new client relationships for the Business Banking and Private Banking departments. At Capital G, the emphasis is on giving each client highly personalised attention and superior customer service. I get to know each one of my clients so I can evaluate their business plan or personal financial needs. This high degree of personal attention means I can introduce them to the best mix of personal and corporate financial services that will enable them to achieve their individual goals.

What is your favourite part of the job? I love everything about my job. Private banking clients and business owners require customised solutions to meet their short and longer term goals. I have the ability to provide solutions incorporating trust structures, investments, credit and traditional banking services with the dedicated support to see things through. I have to say it is very satisfying to have input in helping both Capital G Bank and the client build a beneficial relationship.

What is your least favourite part of the job? My least favourite part of the job is probably the time I have to dedicate to the administrative duties that are a product of this small and increasingly busy environment. These are a necessary part of the client-focused relationship, and time is of the essence in dealing with the paperwork!

What is your most interesting experience at work? The most interesting experience at work is that I get the opportunity to cross train in different departments, as opposed to being a specialist in one. This contributes to my product knowledge and helps me develop my skills as a Business Development Manager. Everyone benefits — me, my clients and Capital G Bank.

What would you be doing otherwise? I would still be doing something in business or marketing. I might like to become an entrepreneur.
