BCB drops back
Bermuda Commercial Bank Ltd. experienced a reversal of fortunes from the previous day as it dropped $1.05 (8.75 percent) on The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) yesterday.
The bank had climbed $1 on Thursday, but fell back to $10.95, with114 shares traded throughout the day.
The only other decliner was BF&M Ltd., which dropped 25 cents (1.19 percent) to finish on $20.75, as 100 shares changed hands.
On the flipside, Bermuda Press (Holdings) ltd. advanced 45 cents (3.09 percent) to $15, with 10,000 shares being transacted, while Butterfield Bank (20 cents) and KeyTech Ltd. (five cents) also experienced some movement.
Other traders included Argus Group Holdings Ltd. (100 shares) and Belco Holdings Ltd. (37), but their share values held firm.
Overall the Index was up slightly by 22.82 points (0.49 percent) at 4,657.19, with a total of 62,687 shares worth $943,384.50 traded.
The BSX Insurance Index continued its recovery of late, inching up 2.14 percent to 988.35.
