Butterfield Bank's preference shares dropped $10 (0.8 percent) on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.

The bank traded 198 preference shares to close at $225, with 300 common shares also changing hands.

Bermuda Aviation Services Ltd. transacted 7,000, but its share price held firm at $5.90.

Bermuda Commercial Bank Ltd. also traded 700 shares to open and close at $5.50.

Overall the Index remained at 2,247.87, as 8,000 shares worth BD$46,590 and 198 shares worth US$244,794 were traded.

The BSX Insurance Index slipped 3.96 points (0.39 percent) to 1,006.91.
