BSX closes on high

The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) finished a busy week up 16.39 points (0.32 percent) at 4,996.8 last week.

A total of 126,424 shares worth $2,138,409.65 were traded during the five days.

Insurance was the busiest sector, with BF&M Ltd. climbing $1.75 to $22, with 43,115 shares changing hands, and Argus Group Holdings Ltd. dropping five cents to $15.50, with 220 shares traded.

Bermuda Commerical Bank Ltd. also had a good week, boosting its share value by $2 to $12, with 1,250 shares being transacted.

KeyTech Ltd., however, saw its share price fall 95 cents to $13.55, as 1,815 shares were traded.

Other traders included Butterfield Bank (122,021 shares), Belco Holdings Ltd. (1,100) and Bermuda Aviation Services Ltd. (18), but their share values remained unchanged.

The BSX Insurance Index also closed up 1.92 points (0.17 percent) at 1,091.24.
