Busy day on the BSX
It proved to be a busy day's trading on The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) yesterday, with no fewer than five companies seeing their share price move.
Leading the way was MediaHouse Ltd., whose share value rose 25 cents (3.57 percent) to close at $7.25, with 100 shares traded.
But Stevedoring Services Ltd. slipped $1 (14.28 percent) to finish on $6, as 200 shares changed hands, while Bermuda Press (Holdings) Ltd. also dropped 95 cents (6.12 percent) to $14.55, with 1,100 shares transacted.
Other decliners included Butterfield Bank and Bermuda Container Line Ltd., which fell 50 cents (3.04 percent) and five cents (0.38 percent) respectively.
KeyTech Ltd. (10,902 shares), Argus Group Holdings Ltd. (10,000), Belco Holdings Ltd. (4,233) and Devonshire Industries Ltd. (400) were also active, but their share prices held firm.
Overall the Index dropped 91.98 points (1.87 percent) to 4,828.87, with 57,462 shares worth $1,064,300.30 traded.
The BSX Insurance Index also fell 1.091 percent to 1,043.83.
