Butterfield Bank dropped 15 cents (0.9 percent) to close at $16.40 on The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) Index yesterday.

The bank traded 34,552 shares throughout the day.

The only other company to trade any shares was Belco Holdings Ltd., with 311 shares changing hands, but its share price held firm at $21.05.

Overall, the Index fell 26.21 points (0.53 percent) to finish on 4,920.85, as a total of 34,863 shares worth $575,569.35 were transacted.

The BSX Insurance Index, meanwhile, edged up 0.36 percent to 1,057.38.
