Mixed day on BSX
It was a day of mixed fortunes for the utilities sector on The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) yesterday, with Belco Holdings Ltd. advancing 50 cents (2.38 percent) and Watlington Waterworks Ltd. falling $1 (7.14 percent).
Belco ended the day on $21.50, with 199 shares traded, while Watlington finished at $13, as 100 shares changed hands.
Butterfield Bank also boosted its share price by 10 cents (0.67 percent) to close on $15, with 125,970 shares transacted.
Other traders included KeyTech Ltd. (2,411 shares), Argus Group Holdings Ltd. (84), and Bermuda Aviation Services Ltd. (50), but their share prices all remained the same.
The Index, as a whole, was up 24.74 points (0.54 percent) at 5,382.06, with a total of 128,814 shares worth $1,908,805.40 traded.
The BSX Insurance Index also finished on a high by 2.14 percent at 988.35.
