PricewaterhouseCoopers yesterday announced, subject to approval from the Department of Immigration, the admission of Arthur Wightman to the partnership, effective July 1, 2009.

Mr. Wightman has more than 11 years of professional services experience with PricewaterhouseCoopers. Initially in London, he joined the Bermuda firm in 2003.

His career in Bermuda has been focused on significant Bermuda-based global SEC registrant audits and advisory projects.

As well as his public company audit experience, he is also the firm's leading Finance Effectiveness specialist and has led a variety of global projects specifically directed at the challenges of achieving control, efficiency and performance improvement objectives while supporting the business through insight and challenge.

Mr. Wightman is also an active member of the local community, sitting on the Congregational Board of Christ Church, Warwick (Church of Scotland) and a Committee Member of the Caledonian Society of Bermuda.

Commenting on his promotion, Mr. Wightman said: "I am delighted to have been admitted to the partnership. In a constantly changing business environment, companies in our market must remain agile to those changes.

"I look forward to assisting our clients in that challenge by delivering distinctive value-added advice and perspectives."

Territory senior partner Peter Mitchell said: "With both extensive auditing and advisory experience, Arthur will be a great addition to our partnership. His strong relationships in the industry and with the PwC network will help us continue to grow our business and maintain our position as the leading professional services firm in Bermuda.
