RenRe promotes Durhager
RenaissanceRe Holdings Ltd. has promoted Peter Durhager to role of executive vice-president.
Mr. Durhager, who was previously senior vice-president, will continue to report to the company's CEO Neill Currie and to serve as chief administrative officer and as a member of the RenaissanceRe executive committee.
"Peter has made substantial contributions to RenaissanceRe, leading many of our global integration initiatives and helping ensure that we have a robust, state-of-the-art infrastructure that ably supports our increasingly diverse operations," said Mr. Currie.
"Thanks in no small part to Peter's contributions, we are well positioned to execute on our strategic plan and to accommodate future expansion as market needs warrant. I'm delighted to recognise Peter's leadership through this promotion."
Mr. Durhager, 39, joined RenaissanceRe in 2003 as chief administrative officer, and has served as president of the company's global shared services division, with responsibilities including human resources, organisational development, marketing, communications, operations and information technology.
Prior to joining the company, he was co-founder, president and chief operating officer of Promisant Ltd., chairman and CEO of Logic Communications Ltd., and president and CEO of Millennium International Ltd.
Mr. Durhager is also a director of KeyTech Ltd., The Ascendant Group Ltd., and the Centre on Philanthropy.
