Spencer-Arscott and Bryce voted onto Omega board
Bermuda insurance veterans Jim Bryce and Robin Spencer-Arscott have joined the board of directors at Omega Insurance Holdings following a shareholder vote on Friday.
The pair were appointed by a majority vote after a vote, with Mr. Bryce, former IPC Holdings CEO, receiving 199,076,331 votes for and 5,034,475 votes against, and Mr. Spencer-Arscott, of AAA Risk Solutions Ltd., receiving 199,075,331 for and 5,035,475 against.
This follows a move by Invesco, the company's largest shareholder, to remove chairman Walter Fiederowicz and Christopher Clarke as directors and to appoint six additional directors, who would together control the board.
Meanwhile John Coldman, a former Benfield chairman who left after the reinsurance broker was acquired by Aon, was appointed chairman with 199,076,331 votes for and 5,034,475 against.
Lawyers Jonathan Betts, Ernest Morrison and David Cooper were also appointed to the board.
