Capital G Ltd has announced the appointment of experienced financial services consultant Clarendon Hugh (Hal) Masters as a director of Capital G Bank Ltd and Capital G Ltd, effective immediately.Mr Masters is president and a director of Midsea Consulting Ltd and is an independent consultant in the financial and corporate services industry.He previously served as vice-president of Butterfield Bank and managing director of Butterfield Fund Services (Bermuda) Ltd, a mutual and hedge fund administrator, now known as Butterfield Fulcrum Group Ltd.Mr Masters will also assume the responsibility of chairman of the loan committee with overall strategic board oversight of the bank’s loan portfolio and credit risk management.He joins the Capital G Bank Ltd and Capital G Ltd board of directors with a 25-year career in banking and financial services industries.Capital G Bank Ltd chairman James Gibbons said: “Capital G Ltd and Capital G Bank Ltd now include independent directors responsible for overall governance of the bank in the areas of investments, banking, trusts, accounting, law, risk management and business management.”
