The Azure Medical Spa & Wellness Centre has announced the appointment of Donna Karaz, a certified laser therapist, to its team.Ms Karaz recently begun working in Bermuda alongside Sasha Benson (Azure’s resident licensed medical aesthetician and certified laser technician), to perform ‘Stop Smoking Now’ laser therapy sessions for smokers struggling to quit.With a certification in nutrition, she brings more than 18 years of experience in natural healthcare, working throughout her native Canada, the US and Europe.Dr James Fay, Azure’s owner and clinical director, said: “We’re delighted to have Donna on board. She has earned a stellar reputation in her field and we’re certain she will help us maintain the highest standards of service.”The ‘Stop Smoking Now’ laser therapy programme is one of the newest services offered at the medical spa, and is a smoking cessation option that Ms Karaz has great confidence in. “It doesn’t matter how much a person smokes or for how long, the science behind the lasers we use works on everyone’s body the same way,” she said. “So many people will be happy to know that they don’t need to travel off Island for these treatments. The laser therapy programme is here and available to everyone!”And working in collaboration with many of Bermuda’s doctors, dentists, pharmacists, other healthcare providers and business owners, she is eagerly spreading awareness of the new programme - an initiative she believes will be of great benefit to the country.
