Visitors to Bermuda will be able to make hotel reservations and book trips as well as check their e-mails all in one place thanks to a dedicated new guest service business that launches today.Internationally Connected, which is run by business operator Chris’t’ian Swan and located in the Royal Naval Dockyard, offers everything from business service, concierge and travel bookings to a lounge complete with music, televisions and a library and an attache club for repeat visitors.The 28-year-old, who has been involved in volunteering and working in tourism and travel from an early age, has an extensive experience of the industry having working for US Airways and served as a manager for USA 3000 and on a cruise line based in Florida.“I always wanted to start my own business and now the time is right,” he said. “I saw a niche in the market and did my research and am going for it.”His target market will be the cruise ship passengers and crew members, as well as hotel guests, residents and potential visitors to the Island.He said the beauty of his business was that it offered the whole package including computer/laptop and Internet support, international direct-dial and prepaid calling cards and telephone, printing, scanning, photocopying, faxing and mail/shipping services.On the concierge side it offers booking/reservations services and/or general information on activities/tours, events, shopping, nightlife, transportation and restaurants, while the travel part of the business covers accommodation, airline, cruise line and rentals.Working in a team of three, Mr Swan plans to expand the company in the future.“I want to bring back the personal touch service is the number one priority,” he said.“We will be concentrating on the experience that’s what we are all about.“This is just the beginning there is going to be a lot more to come.”Mr Swan is also looking for volunteers to help out during the season and will be offering advertising opportunities onsite and on the website through the company’s promotion programme.For more information contact 234-6565 or 505-6565, e-mail guestservice[AT]internationally-connected.com or visit www.connectedinternationally.com
