Chamber’s Gordon gains designation

Diane Gordon: Executive vice-president of the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce

Diane Gordon, executive vice-president of the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce has been designated with the Certified Chamber Executive (CCE) by the American Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE).The CCE is the only national certification for chamber professionals.The CCE programme is designed to assess the applicant’s knowledge of the core chamber management areas - leadership, planning, development, finance and administration. The applicants who are designated CCEs earn the recognition through hard work, countless hours of dedication to their field, and leadership of their chambers to achieve their missions.Ms Gordon is one of 13 chamber executives who earned the CCE designation in 2011 and will be presented by CCE chairman, John MacMartin, during the ACCE Annual Convention, being held in Los Angeles in August, 2011.In her role, Ms Gordon manages the business and personnel affairs of the Chamber and is committed to the promotion of Bermuda’s commercial and economic progress as well as promoting cultural, recreational, and social issues which impact the Island’s well being.She is only the second Chamber of Commerce member to earn the recognition from outside of the USA/Canada.
