Fairmont names Rickards as new learning manager
Bermudian Felicia Rickards has been named learning manager for the Fairmont Southampton.In her new role she is responsible for the career growth and development of employees at the resort.Ms Rickards is the former president of management consulting company Linkage Bermuda.Before that she headed up Integrated Coaching Solutions, served as senior wealth manager at AFL Investments and was a senior account representative for The Argus Group.“Felicia brings over 20 years of international business, course facilitation, life coaching and human resources development experience to this position,” said Fairmont Southampton regional director of Human Resources, Nelda Simons.“Her impressive background, outstanding personality and tremendous work ethic will be useful in her new role and we welcome her contribution to the Fairmont Southampton’s Human Resources team.”The position of learning manager has been vacant since 2009. A Fairmont Southampton spokesman said it was decided to leave it vacant during the economic downturn.Ms Rickards holds a Diploma of Arts and Science from the Bermuda College, a BSc. in Psychology and Sociology from Indiana State University and a Masters of Arts, Business Development and Human Resources Development from Webster University.She recently achieved Certified Life Coach Practitioner status with the Certified Coaches Federation.Felicia Rickards has also been a YouthNet Mentor in Bermuda and has volunteered as a Recruitment Officer for the Bermuda Human Resources Association.
