Bacardi executives turn bartenders to support CADA
The top executives from one of the largest spirits companies in the world acted as bartenders, serving up cocktails to the crowd at a fundraiser for CADA (Centre for Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention) on Wednesday night.The fundraiser kicked off Bacardi’s 150th anniversary celebrations and marked the start of the company’s Corporate Responsibility Month.Funds raised go to CADA’S Training Intervention Programme (TIPS), which is a skills-based training programme for bartenders and restaurant staff designed to prevent underage drinking and drink driving.The Bacardi executive bartenders raised $1,800 for the TIPS programme.“It is an important initiative that has our full support. We are proud of the continued relationship we have with CADA and the ‘Let Us Drive’ programme.””We would like to thank Mr Ed Shirley and the Bacardi leadership team for hosting us and for the ongoing support to encourage responsible alcohol behaviour in Bermuda.”The let us drive service is available every Friday night from 3:15am to 3:45am just outside the LOM building on the corner of Reid and Burnaby streets.
