Business Bermuda attended the 10th Annual Family Symposium at the Fairmont Southampton Princess Hotel on Monday and Tuesday this week.Attracting an international mix of family offices, lawyers, and asset managers, not only was the conference profitable in addressing the issues concerning high net worth families, but it introduced many to Bermuda as a jurisdiction in which to do business and vacation for the first time.In addition to exhibiting at the event, Business Bermuda sponsored a presentation and luncheon.Randall Krebs, general counsel and executive vice-president of Meritus Trust Company Ltd, presented on the benefits of establishing a Bermuda Trust and, more specifically, how Family Offices can benefit from the high quality combination of professionalism and fair regulation available in Bermuda.Cheryl Packwood, CEO of Business Bermuda, stated: “Business Bermuda is glad to have participated for the first time in the Annual Family Office Symposium.
