Southside Cinema has closed its doors until further notice.The 425-seat St David’s movie theatre posted a notice after the weekend saying it will be: “Closed until further notice. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused”.The cinema’s Facebook page said the issue appeared to be a “technical problem with our projector”. They said they would provide an update on when they may reopen as soon as possible.The cinema’s closure is a major blow to the Southside community, which along with the decline of White’s supermarket and possibility of it closing, has also lost the bowling alley.The Southside Bowling Center went out of business last year, after the operator fell behind on his bills.Landlord BLDC did not respond to queries about their tenants’ struggles.
