Velasco given marketing role at Rosewood Tucker’s Point

Rosewood Tucker’s Point has appointed Domingo Velasco, a company veteran, to the position of area director of marketing.Mr Velasco adds Rosewood Tucker’s Point to the position he also holds with Rosewood Little Dix Bay on Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands. In this role, he is responsible for developing and implementing innovative marketing strategies for both Rosewood properties.“We are thrilled to welcome Domingo to the Rosewood Tucker’s Point team,” said managing director Duncan Graham. “With over 20 years of experience in the travel industry and his proven success with Rosewood, we’re excited to have his expertise here at Tucker’s Point.”Mr Velasco’s career in hotel sales and marketing began when he served as associate director of Sales for Rosewood Caribbean Resorts.He later held the same position at The Carlyle, a Rosewood hotel in New York City.After a six-year absence during which he was corporate director of Leisure for Kor Hotel Group and director of sales and marketing for La Samanna on St Martin, Velasco returned to Rosewood in 2009 as director of marketing for Rosewood Little Dix Bay.A native of Spain, Mr Velasco holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences with a concentration in Political Science from the University of Puerto Rico and is fluent in six languages: Spanish, German, English, French, Portuguese and Italian. He is based in Rosewood’s New York regional sales office.
