Bermudian appointed COO at Bermuda Aviation Services

Bermuda Aviation Services Limited has a new chief operating officer, the Bermuda Stock Exchange announced yesterday.A Bermudian, Ian Cook replaces Frank Williams who has left the Company.Mr Cook worked with BAS until 2004, and then continued his career overseas including as an operations manager in the United Kingdom, where a BSX press release said he ‘project managed 12 airports through new rigorous safety and financial regulations.’ He has also worked as a senior engineering manager for the opening of the new Dubai World Central Airport.He rejoined the BAS Group in 2011as general manager of one of the group’s companies, CCS Ltd. He had worked at BAS-Serco between 1997 and 2004 as the ground electronics services manager.BAS CEO Ken Joaquin said: “We are proud that someone of Ian’s calibre, who started his professional career with us has returned to join our family. Ian is a welcomed addition to the BAS executive team. We believe his academic acumen, strong work ethic and dynamic work experiences will allow him to play a pivotal role in the constant evolution of the BAS Group.”The BAS Group of Companies consists of Aircraft Services Bermuda Ltd.
