Advertising veteran joins The Centre on Philanthropy
Former advertising executive Lynne Matcham is the new marketing and communications coordinator for The Centre on Philanthropy.In a press release making the announcement, The Centre said Ms Matcham has extensive experience in marketing and communications, including as marketing manager for Gibbons Company for several years, and for 20 years as a managing partner for Matcham & Matcham Design & Advertising. She was also the internet Cafe Manager for Logic Communications.The Centre on Philanthropy executive director Elaine Williams said: “We are delighted to have someone of Ms Matcham’s calibre to join our team. She is an excellent complement to our dynamic team and we look forward to learning from and working together with her to accomplish our mission.”The Centre’s press release stated: “Ms Matcham’s extensive skills and expertise will be integral in achieving our strategic goal to improve capacity in non-profit, increase contributions to the community by volunteers and to create greater public awareness of Bermuda’s third sector and The Centre on Philanthropy.“Among other things, Ms Matcham will assist the Centre on Philanthropy with initiatives such as a membership drive, and serve as an invaluable resource to our newly formed Advocacy and Community Engagement Committee.”The Centre said Ms Matcham describes herself as a keen advocate of the environment, people and animals. Their marketing and communications coordinator designate said: “I am extremely pleased to lend my expertise, creativity and support to the very important work the Centre on Philanthropy performs in Bermuda.”The Cenre on Philanthropy promotes and advocates for “ ... an effective and sustainable third sector by providing training and education, fostering collaboration and supporting volunteerism,” according to their press release.
