The press release added that she is an active leader in industry organisations, having served on several not-for-profit boards and as President of the International Association of Claim Professionals as well as the Association of Professional Insurance Women.The reinsurer also announced that Joan deLemps will assume the role of chief risk officer, also reporting to Mr Charman. In her new role, Ms. deLemps will have oversight for corporate underwriting, corporate actuarial, risk management and ceded reinsurance.Ms. deLemps, who was Endurance’s chief underwriting officer, has more than 35 years experience in both insurance and reinsurance underwriting management roles, according to a press release.Mr Charman said: "As we transform Endurance`s global insurance and reinsurance footprints and their specialty product offerings, it is critically important that our enterprise risk management capabilities are at the highest and most responsive levels.“To that end I have no doubt that Joan, with her broad market leading experience, management capability and insightful guidance and oversight, will achieve that goal.
