Ironshore names Northeast Region head

Ironshore has named Aileen A Marchese senior vice president of the Northeast Region, to be based in New York.She will be responsible for the management, oversight and operational execution of Ironshore’s business development strategies within the regional area, reporting to Joseph L Boren, President of US Field Operations.Ms Marchese has more than 25 years of management experience within the insurance sector, with an extensive background in the underwriting of Primary and Excess Casualty, and Professional and Employment Liability lines.Prior to joining Ironshore, she served for nine years as Senior Vice President/Zonal Manager of New York region for the Risk Specialists Company Insurance Agency, Inc (RSCIA), a wholly-owned subsidiary of AIG.Ms Marchese also led the New York Regional Real Estate Practice Group, which was an AIG corporate industry specialisation initiative. She served on the company’s Executive Steering Committee for the New York Women Alliance, as well as the Executive Steering Committee for the New York Region Emerging Leader Program.“Aileen brings a wealth of hands-on insurance management expertise and business development insight that will deepen our relationships with brokers and insurance clients, further enhancing our presence throughout the Northeast,” said Mr Boren.“We are confident that her energy and leadership will contribute to Ironshore’s continued growth within this ever-changing regional market landscape.”Ms Marchese’s industry career spans a variety of executive positions with leading insurance companies and brokerage entities in diverse professional liability and casualty business lines. Prior to AIG, she was an Assistant Vice President for Financial Products with The Hartford, responsible for managing the Employment Practices Liability Department nationwide.She also has been Vice President and National Practice Leader of Employment Practices Liability for the Financial Insurance Services division of Kemper Insurance Company.Her industry affiliations include membership in the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS), the Association of Professional Insurance Women (APIW), and the National Association of Insurance Women (NAIW). Ms Marchese also serves as Chairperson of the Insurance Brokers Association of New York (IBANY).
