Director’s course offered by IoD
Courses designed to prepare candidates to take on company directors’ roles are to be held in Bermuda for the first time.
The Island’s Institute of Directors (IoD) said tests for the four modules offered are aimed at preparing people to sit the Certificate in Company Direction (CICD) exams which would be held three times this year.
IoD education chairman Rochelle Simons said: “It is exciting to be offering all of the courses as well as the exams leading to the Certificate in Company Direction here in Bermuda.
“Our vision for the IoD Bermuda is to promote excellence in governance through education and training and we are proud to be the primary provider of director education and training in Bermuda.”
The courses cover the role of the director and the board, the director’s role in strategy and marketing, leadership and finance for non-finance directors.
An e-learning course, with materials, interactive exercises, exam preparation and web-based seminars, is also available.
The exams will be held on March 12, June 25 and November 12, subject to demand.
Slots for the director’s role in leading the organisation, to be held on January 31 and February 1, and the finance for non-finance directors course, to be held between February 20-22, are still available.
Anyone interested in attending should contact Ms Simons on 336 2447 or at Rochelle.simons@logic.bm.
