Regulatory Authority invites budget comment
The Regulatory Authority has released a planning consultation inviting comments on its proposed work plan and budget for the 2015-16 financial year.
“This Planning Consultation presents an opportunity for the public to consider our proposed plans for the upcoming financial year,” said Kyle Masters, the Regulatory Authority’s interim chief executive.
“Likewise licence holders in the electronic communications sector are being given the chance to review the RA’s proposed revenues, expenditure and projects and activities for the upcoming fiscal year and to give us the benefit of their views on each of these important topics.”
Mr Masters added: “The questions in the consultation are relatively straightforward and the planned projects and activities are clearly identified. This is by design. We want the public and carrier input, which will help us to ensure that our plans are aligned with their needs.”
The Regulatory Authority is encouraging interested persons to view the consultation on its website, www.rab.bm, and to submit their comments by November 17. The final work plan is slated for presentation for approval by the Minister of Education and Economic Development at the beginning of 2015.
