BMA warns of unauthorised trading company
Bermuda’s financial watchdog has added the KA Trading Corporation to its warning list of unauthorised firms.
The Bermuda Monetary Authority said KA had been offering its services as an investment business via a Facebook page.
“The public should be aware that this entity is not regulated, authorised or licensed by the Authority,” the BMA stated.
“Members of the public who transact business with this entity do so at their own risk.”
A line on the Facebook page reads: “K.A. Trading Corporation is a new Bermudian owned and run Trading Company.”
The BMA’s full list of unauthorised firms and individuals can be found at www.bma.bm/SitePages/warning-list.aspx.
“The Authority maintains a warning list to inform the public, maximise the deterrent effect and ensure the transparency of our decision making,” the BMA added.
Anyone who wants to provide the BMA with other relevant information on this or other questionable entities is asked to call 278-0326, or e-mail kreeves@bma.bm.
