Aon holds global broking meeting in Hamilton
Aon will today start its 2017 Global Broking Leadership Meeting in Hamilton.
The insurance and reinsurance broker and risk management adviser has brought together chief broking officers from more than 15 countries and lines of business, plus other senior executives.
And the meeting is a feather in the cap of the island’s insurance industry, according to Joe Rego, chief executive officer of Aon Bermuda.
“The selection of Hamilton to host this meeting underscores how important Bermuda is for Aon and the industry,” Mr Rego said. “Bermuda is at the centre of our global broking strategy; this is a great opportunity for colleagues from around the world to experience Bermuda first hand and better understand the value we deliver to clients around the world every day.”
Tom Fitzgerald, CEO of Aon Broking, said: “Aon is making significant investments in new products and technologies that will modernise and simplify how the commercial insurance industry works together across clients, carriers and brokers. This meeting is important to help ensure we are executing our strategies consistently around the world.”
Aon, which operates in 120 countries, works out of offices in Woodbourne Avenue in Bermuda.
