John Wasty, Appleby partner and head of the dispute resolution practice in Bermuda, will speak at the 23rd Annual International Bar Association Global Insolvency and Restructuring Conference in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The three-day conference starts on Sunday and features exceptional speakers, specialist breakout sessions, panel discussions and a case study of the OW Bunker multijurisdictional insolvency case.

Mr Wasty’s panel to be held on Tuesday is titled, “Insurance industry restructurings — new perspectives on regulated industry insolvencies”.

Mr Wasty specialises in the areas of commercial litigation, restructuring, insolvency litigation, funds litigation and regulatory matters.

He said: “Representing Bermuda at such a fantastic conference is a privilege and I look forward to my panel discussion. Bermuda has experienced success with the handling of restructuring and solvency matters and we continue to maintain status as a leading offshore jurisdiction.
