Hanson named to new top role at BF&M
BF&M Ltd today announced the retirement of its corporate secretary Lynda Davidson Leader.
The position will be filled by Stephanie Hanson, appointed to the new role of group general counsel and group compliance officer, effective today.
In her role, Mrs Hanson will have oversight of the legal and compliance functions for the insurer’s Bermuda and Cayman operations.
Mrs Hanson brings ten years of broad legal expertise specialising in the insurance and reinsurance sector as well as the broader financial services arena.
Her specialisation includes dispute resolution, claims, contract wording, compliance and regulatory issues.
Mrs Hanson worked most recently at law firm Conyers Dill & Pearman where she worked in the commercial litigation and arbitration department.
Her prior legal experience was at DAC Beachcroft LLP in the UK and she has also worked within two insurance companies (Zurich and Legal and General).
Ms Davidson Leader joined BF&M in 2006 and retired last month.
