Carey Olsen’s Robinson gets Band 1 ranking
Keith Robinson of law firm Carey Olsen Bermuda has maintained his ranking as a Band 1 practitioner in offshore trusts in the 2018 Chambers High Net Worth guide.
Chambers and Partners is one of the world’s leading reference and ranking bodies for the legal sector, delivering in-depth independent research to identify and rank the most outstanding firms and practitioners.
The 2018 HNW guide includes extensive market insider endorsements for Mr Robinson, who has more than 20 years’ experience of a wide range of private wealth and trusts litigation and advisory work, and is described as a lawyer who “really knows how to handle big offshore disputes”, and whose “wider experience and knowledge gives him a very good forensic edge”.
Mr Robinson has particular expertise in high-value trust litigation and court approved trust restructurings, often with a multi-jurisdictional element.
One of his fiduciary clients said: “I rely on him because his advice is practical and he can provide a view on what we should be doing. He doesn’t just provide options, but will give you a solution. He is extremely intelligent and comfortable on his feet, he is always fully prepared, he gives you confidence and is an honest broker. You can put him in front of any client. He is a bit of a rock star.”
Michael Hanson, managing partner, said “We have hit the ground running with the establishment of Carey Olsen Bermuda. Keith’s remarkable work in the past seven months has not only maintained his Band 1 ranking, he is also attracting new and significant trust work to Bermuda. I am very pleased that these achievements are being recognised by such an established ranking body, it is very well deserved.”
Carey Olsen Bermuda was established by Bermudian attorney Michael Hanson in association with leading international offshore law firm Carey Olsen at the end of last year. The firm was recently named Offshore Law Firm of the Year at the Lawyer Awards in London for the second year in a row.
